UW Continuum College expands the University of Washington’s educational impact by meeting the needs of learners wherever they are in life — and wherever they intend to go.
As the digital content specialist, I shared this organization’s mission by crafting emails, social media posts, and website content.
Today I’m the social media & community engagement marketing manager. I build brand awareness for UW Continuum College and UW Professional & Continuing Education, develop strategies to reach new audiences for our programs and courses, and serve as the marketing liaison for a range of internal and external partners.

Planetary Resources, The Asteroid Mining Company was an aerospace company headquartered in Redmond, Washington that aimed to expand humanity’s resources base by building spacecraft that would find and mine asteroids.
As the marketing specialist, I had the opportunity to share this incredible story by updating the website, creating emails, managing social media, and planning events.

Uncodin was a software startup in Austin, Texas that worked on software projects for organizations like DARPA and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
As the production assistant and office manager, I made software tutorials, tested software, managed HR, and organized attendance at events like South by Southwest.
National Geographic Channel Standards & Practices
The National Geographic Channel’s Standards and Practices Department in Washington D.C. is responsible for ensuring shows complied with the National Geographic standards for accuracy, balance, and editorial integrity.
As a research intern, I had the opportunity to fact-check documentaries as well as find sources for facts used in advertisements.
Virginia Youth Conservation Corps
The Department of Conservation and Recreation’s Youth Conservation Corps is a summer program in which a dozen teens live and work at a state park. Participants learn about team work, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship.
I worked with the Virginia Youth Conservation Corps for three summers. First I was a crew member, then an intern, and then a supervisor. I lead a dozen teenagers through three-week long environmental stewardship projects such as the construction of hiking trails at various Virginia State Parks.
